Frequently Asked Questions

Sugaring

Is sugaring the same as waxing?

It is often compared to waxing because both are sticky, but that’s where the comparison ends.

Sugaring is more hygienic, lasts longer, and can be less painful if done regularly. Some people find that there’s also less irritation with sugaring. In addition, sugaring is a natural exfoliating treatment for the skin and can lead to permanent reduction of hair growth.

What is the difference between bikini and brazilian?
Brazilian – Every bit of hair is removed in a bikini zone. Bikini line – It is a cleanup outside the lines of the bathing suit or underwear line
What is sugaring?
Sugaring is the most natural and ancient way of hair removal. A sugar paste at a lukewarm temperature (so burns are impossible) is applied to a skin using the hands or strips. It’s then gently flicked off in the natural direction of hair growth, so it doesn’t break off the hair. It feels like a skin treatment.
Are there different sugaring methods?

There are two methods of sugaring: hand sugaring and strip sugaring. Unlike other sugaring places, we hand sugar the traditional. Hand sugaring is not only the most sanitary and meticulous way of sugaring, it is also an art. Only the best sugaring therapists use this method.

Can you sugar everywhere?

You can sugar from your brows to your toes and everything in between, except the scalp, beard, inner ears and nostrils only. As Sugaring does not adhere to your skin, but only to hairs, it can be applied to the same place several times, without a fear of the skin being stretched or torn.

What is in sugar paste?

Sugar paste is a product made of sugar, lemon and water. It’s natural, vegan, organic and non-toxic that you can even eat it. Sugar paste is very easy to remove from the skin, has no smell, and leaves absolutely no marks as it’s completely removable with a warm water

Does sugaring hurt?

Honestly, it depends on the person. Our clients report their sugaring experiences are less painful than waxing. Also, skin redness disappears much faster.

The first time is the hardest, and it only gets easier from there. On repeated visits, within 4-6 weeks the hair follicles will be smaller and the bulbs weaker, so they’ll come out smoother each time.

Can my hair be too long or too short to sugar?

Too long hairs won’t stop us of doing you a treatment, just let us take care of you to trim excess of hair. Minimum length is CRITICAL though and should not be less than 5mm (length of a grain of rice).

How often should i get sugared?

The general rule is more often you do it, the thinner and more invisible your hair becomes. Depending on your skin and hair type, sugaring can be done every 4 to 6 weeks.

How do i prepare for my sugaring appointment?

Do not use any lotions or oils on the day of your appointment (sugar does not like oily skin). Have a minimum length of hairs

I have tattoos – is that okay?

Absolutely! Sugaring can actually help brighten tattoos.

I’ve started my period and i have an appointment for a brazilian, should i reschedule?

It is up to you. Menstruating does not affect the sugaring process, although you may be more sensitive to a pain. If you’d rather not reschedule, simply use a tampon during your appointment.

Do’s and dont’s after my treatment?

To prevent ingrown hairs, we recommend exfoliate twice a week and moisturize daily using natural products with no additives, preservatives or artificial fragrances.

Wait at least 24 hours before:

  • Participating in activities that cause sweating (including sex)
  • Using lotions
  • Using skin products with chemical irritants including perfume
  • Swimming or using public bathing areas
  • Touching the freshly sugared area
Is it safe to sugar when pregnant?

If you had been doing it regularly before pregnancy and you have no contraindications from your doctor it’s completely safe to get sugared throughout the entire pregnancy.

Do you sugar men?

We currently offer all male services except for male intimate (Boyzilian / Hollywood) sugaring.

    V-facials and Add-ons

What can a vajacial help with?

Much like a facial, it addresses various skin issues that can occur from a recent wax, sensitive skin, genetics etc.

A vajacial treats ingrown hairs, removes dead skin cells, smooths bumps around bikini line, prevents acne, helps with hyperpigmentation, all to maintain healthy and hydrated skin.

It is a non-invasive procedure that is completely topical – many clients have described it as a soothing and rejuvenating experience! The treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and is not painful whatsoever.

Can you get a vajacial while pregnant?

Yes! There is nothing invasive that occurs during a vajacial, and much like sugaring, the topical products used are totally safe for a pregnant woman. For those with extremely sensitive skin, or skin that is not reacting well to pregnancy, we advise you to contact your doctor or esthetician to discuss your options.

Bikini facials while pregnant is a great way to relax and feel confident in your bikini area, especially before giving birth! It is recommended not to get a bikini facial too close to your due date, however, so plan to get one around a month before you are to give birth for the best results.

How long should I wait after sugaring to get a bikini facial?

You can get RIGHT AFTER your bikini sugaring, when your skin is hairless, exfoliated and pores are open. This makes the add-ons more effective, since all the products can penetrate deeper into the skin for better results.

You can do any of below services or "All Inclusive V-Facial" (when all 4 services are performed).

    Cancellation and rescheduling policy

You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours ahead, otherwise you can be charged 50% of the service price for late cancellation or 100% for not showing up (coming 15 minutes late is treated as No Show).

Clients are generally allowed a 5-10 minute grace period. If you are late, we may not be able to complete the entire treatment.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be rescheduled in order to meet the needs of those who have the following appointments with us. If this happens it will be considered a missed appointment and 100% of the booked treatment charge will apply to your account.
